The Workday HCM Security Lead is responsible for: 


 



  • Leading the security design and configuration for WPP’s global deployment of Workday HCM  

  • Define requirements for security roles based on the target operating model and business processes.  

  • Apply best practices in line with WPP’s Security and Controls Framework 

  • Provide security governance and change control for business and implementation security requests. 

  • Input and support operations team with security audit and compliance with effective process and reporting 

  • Support WPP Internal and External audit 


 


What you'll be doing:



  • Develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders, Workday deployment project team, WPP Security & Compliance, WPP Service Delivery and 3rd party support teams. 

  • Workday Security model design and architecture ownership HCM 

  • Identify incoming and outgoing dependencies and communicate to the relevant stakeholders. 

  • Lead security design changes and implementation post-go-live, including 3rd party systems that use Workday security roles.  

  • Test of security design changes, including planning and executing tests 

  • Provide consultation for the rest of the Workday Services team to discuss the security implications of proposed changes. 

  • Ensure the Workday platform is designed, maintained, and operated in line with the WPP Data Privacy and Security Charter & General Computer Controls 

  • Develop and deploy security/access management governance and practices for Workday which manage risk to an acceptable level and are scalable 

  • Oversee user access provisioning processes (JML) (supported by our AMS Partner and in coordination with HR, SSC, and Workday Functional SMEs) 

  • Provide input into the future operating model of user access management within the Workday Services team. 

  • Hypercare support planning to address common issues at go-lives, such as segmented security with an expedited process. 

  • Accountable for maintaining Workday security and associated process documentation. 

  • Champion recommendations for continuous improvement 


 


Who you'll be working with:


The Workday HCM Security SME will report to the Workday HCM Programme Lead, and will liaise with the global Workday team.


 


What you'll need:



  • Exceptional knowledge of Workday core HCM security configuration and user access management 

  • Experience with identifying and accessing management risks, concepts and controls. 

  • Experience working in a global Workday deployment environment. 

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy 

  • Develop trusted relationships with stakeholders. 

  • Strong risk awareness skills and management of risk 

  • Creative solutions and strong problem-solving skills with agility for fast and simple solutions 

  • Credibility, professionalism, and strong personal integrity 

  • Ability to mentor new team members from wide and varied backgrounds.
