Listing Description
Position Purpose: Supervise Information Technology staff with responsibility for hiring, performance management and career development to ensure alignment with defined goals. Respond to escalated incidents that require additional investigation and response planning. Daily mgmt. of administrative & operational tasks, which include, but are not limited to:
- Managing shift schedules for 24x7 operations Team
- Reviewing security incident tickets to ensure completeness and adherence to SOP
- Serving as escalation point for alerts and alarms that may not fall into a clear delineation of responsibility
- Plan and direct daily activities of team members.
- Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure timely response to incidents
- Review work of Information Technology staff and develop staff skills and competencies
- Respond to complex or escalated risks, determine cause, and recommend procedures to improve security and/or decrease risks
- Evaluate, test, recommend, and maintain department policies, procedures and systems
- Responsible for advanced analysis and enhanced development for programs
- Provide tactical leadership and develop techniques and processes to effectively use team resources and ensure targets are met 10% travel required
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of Information Technology experience
- Previous experience in Supervising or Managing a Security Operation center
- Previous experience as a Senior (or above) Cyber Security Analyst
- Well organized, able to handle many tasks at once
- Able to make decisions despite the lack of clear guidance (where necessary)
