Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania is the local affiliate of the country’s leading sexual and reproductive health care advocate and provider. Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania operates 10 health centers throughout Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties. Nationwide, Planned Parenthood affiliates operate more than 600 health centers, providing medical services and sexuality education for millions of individuals (adults and teens) each year. We also work with allies worldwide to ensure that all people have the right and the means to meet their sexual and reproductive health care needs.
The Security Officer is a full-time, 35 hour/week, benefits-eligible position working primarily at our center city Philadelphia location and will need to be able to travel to locations in Far Northeast Philadelphia, Norristown, and West Chester. The salary range for this position is $19-20/hour dependent upon experience and training. Under the direction of the Security Manager, the Security Officer will develop and implement practices and procedures for the safety and security of all PPSP Facilities and events, monitor building entrances/exits at all times during business hours, and screen all persons and packages entering the buildings.
Candidate must be certified under PA Act 235 and possess a High School Diploma and a minimum of five years’ experience in security/law enforcement. Health care security experience is desirable. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Must be assertive and comfortable dealing with diverse groups of people. Must have a strong understanding and commitment to excellent customer service. Must present a professional appearance and courteous manner. Must have demonstrated dependability and good judgment. Saturdays and evening schedule required. Must have an understanding of OSHA regulations.
