Our partner, WorldQuant is an American fintech company, working with the latest technologies, developing systematic, data-based financial strategies, producing high-quality predictive signals (alphas) through their proprietary research platform to employ financial strategies focused on exploiting market inefficiencies.

Their application security team is seeking a Senior Security Engineer, a driven technologist to add operational excellence and contribute to the continuous pursuit of keeping their technology secure at WorldQuant. The team is responsible for the security of the firm wide application stack as well as Authentication, Authorization, Secure SDLC and other application layer security concerns.

What You’ll Do:
  • Develop new tools to assist developers and WQ users to perform their work securely and more efficiently.
  • Operate and manage the Hashicorp vault instance. Takeover future feature development and rollouts of WQ specific integrations.
  • Develop tooling for continuous audit, code analysis and other security analysis activities.
  • Provide support for existing Application Security team products.
  • Develop new features for existing Application Security team products, such as OIDC IDPs, DLP indexing tools, CA infrastructure and Cloud assessment tools.
  • Develop management tools and provide support for foundational components such as Kerberos, SSH, SSL and more.

    • What You’ll Bring:
  • Degree in a technical or quantitative discipline from a top tier institution
  • Solid understanding of UNIX security.
  • Some programming experience, preferably in Python.
  • Experience operating security infrastructure, developing integrations of security products.
  • Ability to communicate and design solutions related to security from first principles.
  • Experience with AD, Kerberos, SSL and SSH are highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to run with projects
