We’re looking for our first Security Engineer to join the Security and Infrastructure Team in Spain to help build the foundation of our security program. And just who are we? As the first Security Engineer in the company, you will have the opportunity to shape and influence the direction of the security program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security engineering and network security, and experience with security tools and technologies. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security of our applications and networks.

You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to our product and team development, be a part of diverse projects, and stay up to date with the latest software technologies. In the process, you’ll be challenged daily, learn constantly, see the impact of your opinions and work, and grow as a Security Engineer.

About the job:
  • Design and implement security solutions for various systems, networks, and web applications
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats
  • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and pentests
  • Work closely with the Engineering teams to ensure the secure development of new features and integration of systems
  • Have a good understanding of the product functionalities
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security technologies and trends
  • Partner with Edpuzzle internal teams to identify vulnerabilities and implement security best practices
  • Contribute to the development and growth of the company’s security program


  • About you:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 3 or more years of experience in security engineering, network security, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of industry best practices and security technologies and tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption
  • Knowledge of cloud security, network security, and web application security
  • Experience with security standards, such as SOC2, ISO 27001, and NIST
  • Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node.js code
  • Open-minded about technologies and development
  • Proven ability to take initiative and drive projects to completion
  • You feel comfortable communicating in English within an international and multicultural team
  • You have an excellent ability to communicate your ideas, regardless of the audience
  • You are based in Spain and have a work permit to work in Spain


  • Bonus skills:
  • Cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Certifications in security-related fields, such as CISSP, CEH, ITIL, or CISM
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with security in a DevOps environment
  • Experience in scaling security programs
