CNL an Everbridge company is currently seeking a Technical Consultant to be based in Boston, MA, This is a hybrid role, to include 2-3 days onsite.

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide project management, enterprise solution application implementation services, and support during the design, build, test, and training phases of projects. The Technical Consultant will operate in a collaborative, team-focused environment, ensuring adherence to our strict quality control and program delivery methodology.

This is a customer-facing role that requires a thorough understanding of CNL Software’s platform and the infrastructures that it will interact with along with a detailed understanding of the subsystem edge devices used by our end-user and reseller partner customers. The role requires a strong project management ability coupled with technical knowledge which encompasses development, database administration, and network engineering. This role will require national and international travel, which may be extensive at times.


What you'll do;
  • Develop and maintain an extensive working knowledge of CNL Software’s solutions and capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership and become an authority in all aspects of the design, build, integration, test, quality control (QC), commission, and deployment of CNL solutions.
  • Provide realistic project estimates under CNL project methodologies.
  • Create detailed design documentation for customer submission, review, and approval.
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of the setup, configuration, and operation of 3rd party subsystem edge devices (closed-circuit television (CCTV)/Access
  • Control/Intruder Alarm etc.) and their integration with CNL Software solutions.
  • Produce detailed functional and operational customer requirements specifications based on site visits, requests for information (RFI), requests for proposals (RFP), and other commercial and technical documentation.
  • Conduct in-depth product and solution demonstrations when required.
  • Operate as an ambassador for the company and always present a professional, tactful, diplomatic presence when interacting with end-user customers, reseller partners, and third-party system and equipment manufacturers
  • External:
  • Create and maintain project plans in MS Project for submission to potential and current clients.
  • Perform installation and configuration tasks to deliver CNL Software’s solutions at end-user and reseller partner customer locations.
  • Become proficient in training end-user customers and reseller partners in all aspects of CNL Software’s solutions.
  • Internal:
  • Provide support and guidance to junior engineers, ensuring they take ownership of the projects they are working on. Including Regular technical reviews / Developing soft skills / Identifying training requirements
  • Ensure a high degree of consistency and that quality is adhered to across all product deployments to meet agreed Statement of Works (SoW)/Functional Design Specifications (FDS) for a given project.
  • Ensure detailed documentation is maintained throughout each project to ensure a smooth handover to Customer Support once the project is completed.
  • Provide constructive feedback and intelligence to the Product and Development teams to enhance the company’s solutions and commissioning capability.
  • Participate in factory acceptance test (FAT), site acceptance test (SAT), user acceptance (UAT)
  • Provide onsite and remote 3rd-level technical support as requested by Customer Support

  • What you'll bring;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or software-related technical degree or equivalent experience
  • · Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills; including the ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents.
  • Successfully managed to complete at least 10 projects related to technical deployments in the security industry.
  • Proven track record of installing, implementing, testing, and training end users on a high-level application suite like Document Management, Fleet Management, electronic point of sale (EPOS), or enterprise resource planning (ERP).
  • Demonstrable experience in configuring personal computers (PCs), and servers and troubleshooting the Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems.
  • Strong knowledge of database architectures and methodologies; ideally Microsoft SQL Server and the ability to manipulate data effectively and efficiently using SQL object-oriented (OO) Concepts and rationale.
  • Excellent knowledge of the latest Windows Server and Desktop versions.
  • Proven track record and experience in networking principles and the Internet Protocol (IP).
  • Excellent knowledge of virtual machine (VM) environments and Microsoft Clustering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Security Clearance is a must, as you are working on classified projects.
  • Experience in the Security industry (Desirable)
  • The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Everbridge ranges from $105,000 - 140,000 and may also include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
