The Information Security Analyst is responsible for actively contributing to the security of Telligen systems by supporting the security team and partnering with senior associates. This individual will have a strong understanding of minimum security requirements as established by common governance frameworks such as HITRUST and NIST ensuring the organization follows HIPAA and all other applicable laws. This role is responsible for assessing risk and reporting on the risk, participating in incident response and planning regular exercises of our response, as well as supporting external audits. Additionally, you will support security service desk management and ongoing triaging of reports and issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a keen interest in information security best practices and technologies.

Essential Functions
  • Review and update Telligen Information Security Policies.
  • Conduct regular internal and external security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct third-party risk assessments of vendors and partners to ensure they meet Telligen security requirements.
  • Lead the response to external audits coordinating the documentation and meetings to ensure appropriate parties participate and supply necessary evidence.
  • Complete user audits by reviewing reports and working with appropriate leadership to validate access.
  • Partner with application teams to build and maintain integrations with Okta customer identity and access management tools.
  • Perform annual Business Impact Analysis (BIA).
  • Facilitate DR/BCP testing and creating, updating, and maintaining associated documents.
  • Ensure corresponding updates are made to plan documents and coordinate activities to close gaps in response.
  • Assist in the delivery of security awareness training and phish testing for employees.
  • Provide guidance and support to users on security best practices and policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security incidents, tickets, vulnerabilities, and compliance activities.
  • Prepare reports for management detailing the status of security incidents, audit findings, and risk assessments.
  • Follow-up and manage events to pre-defined SLAs.
  • Work closely with IT and other departments to ensure alignment on security initiatives.
  • Respond to security requests that come through the Telligen ticketing system.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management regarding security issues and policies.
  • Be timely with response, use professional communication, and approach vulnerability and risk management from the perspective of business enablement.

  • Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, MIS, Information Assurance and/or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of work experience in IT in one or more areas of infrastructure, user management, application development, database, and systems management
  • Six or more months of experience in an information security role.
  • Security+, SSCP, or CISA are preferred
