about the role:

Here at nate, we are looking for a Lead Security Engineer to come and assist our growing engineering team. There is an increasing demand to ensure that we are designing and implementing scalable security solutions for our core infrastructure. As our user base continues to grow, there is an increasing demand to ensure our services are healthy and robust, with the data kept secure.

what you'll do:

• As a member of this team, you'll lead projects and be responsible for key deliverables of the security program


• Drive development and improvements in Security Incident and Event Management, Case Management, and Automation


• Proactively Identify and respond to emerging security threats


• Act as incident Coordinator during high priority incidents


• Develop detection techniques to identify anomalous behaviors and attacks across the environment


• Mentor and provide security guidance to various organizations throughout the company


• Support wider security team projects such as threat modeling, vulnerability scanning, audits, and custom tool building


• Create and promote frameworks, patterns, and methodologies that reduce the risk across the company

about you:

• Solid understanding of Cybersecurity concepts, including security operations, boundary defence, authentication and risk management.


• Leadership and mentorship experience (formal line management not required)


• Ability to define and implement automated metrics to measure security measures effectiveness and consistency


• Experience in identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans


• Experience of implementing key security frameworks such as NIST, AWS Security Pillar, Cyber Kill Chain etc


• Extensive experience with AWS and AWS cloud security
