Senior Data Engineer Culver City

• Develops and maintains scalable cloud-based data, data cleaning, data organization and integration process

• Collaborates with Data Scientists to develop and support data models that feed analytics models; with Business Intelligence constituents to satisfy data access, query optimization and presentation

• Support multiple business intelligence platforms, upgrades and level 2 client support

• Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it

• Writes unit/integration tests, contribute to engineering wiki, and documents work

• Performs data integrity tasks required to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues

• Design data integrations and data quality framework

• Lead the continuing business intelligence and database advancements

• Works closely with engineering clients/partners to develop strategies for long term data platform architecture

Qualifications / Skills:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure, DataBricks, Machine Learning and MS SQL in an always-up, always-available service

• Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies

• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

• Process-oriented with great documentation skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service

Experience Requirements:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

• 4+ years of Scala, Python and Java development experience

• 4+ years of SQL experience, specifically in SparkSQL and HiveSQL

• 4+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling

• 2+ years of DataBricks or equivalent spark development using Scala and python

• 2+ years of Apache Data Frames in Microsoft Azure data blob, Databricks Delta Lake experience preferred

• 2+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining large scale enterprise data repository

• 2+ years of developing data organization and preparation for machine learning process; experience working with deep learning multi-layers process is a plus

• Experience in Metric Insights is preferred

• Experience in Qlik View and Qlik Sense preferred

• Experience of Azure SQL, MySQL, Azure Blob and Cosmo

• Experience of Kafka, Oracle, Splunk, Google Analytics, Apple Store data interface

• Experience of developing JDBC and ODBC connection

• Experience of developing REST API interface
