Role Summary: 

The Cybersecurity Engineer will maintain and enhance Rivian's Enterprise Cybersecurity operations, is a strong communicator, and challenges traditional Cybersecurity strategies. The role requires a foundation in Cybersecurity Engineering and Operations. 

Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and manage automated cybersecurity processes and infrastructure to support the protection of Rivian’s data, systems, and networks.  


• Design systems to protect information boundaries and assure computer system, network devices, and applications are hardened against Cyber-attack.  


• Provide business consultations to validate systems and applications designed with appropriate Cybersecurity controls meeting regulatory and Rivian Cybersecurity requirements. 


• Collaborate with Rivian teams across business and functional areas. 


• Maintain continual situational awareness of emerging threats and trends 

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Cybersecurity


• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field


• Passion for Cybersecurity and a desire to stay current with industry best practices and tools 


• Experience documenting, socializing, and operationalizing Cybersecurity technology and processes.


• Prior programming experience (Python, Golang, or PowerShell)


• Practical understanding of common attacks and how they work


• Demonstrated experience working across multiple teams to build cross-functional relationships and working with numerous cross-functional members with various levels of technical expertise.


• Self-starter who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.


• Strong technical communication skills (written and verbal).

Location: Remote New Jersey

Salary Range for New Jersey Based Applicants: $135,000 - $155,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
