Your Mission

In this role, you will work in a proactive, fast-paced environment supporting critical missions by ensuring the security and compliance of information systems. You will propose, implement, and maintain system security policies, standards, and methodologies while coordinating security documentation for hardware, software, firmware, and network devices. Your expertise will be essential in assessing configuration changes, managing system security plans, and administering authentication mechanisms to maintain a secure and accredited system environment.

You Will Excel in This Role If You Are:
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying security risks and compliance issues.
  • Experienced in implementing and maintaining security standards for critical systems.
  • Skilled at coordinating and documenting security information across multiple platforms.
  • Effective at assessing and mitigating the impact of configuration changes.
  • Proficient in managing system security plans and accreditation documentation.
  • Capable of administering authentication and access control mechanisms.

    • A Day in the Life:
  • Develop, update, and manage system security plans to ensure compliance.
  • Assess the impact of configuration changes on system security posture.
  • Implement security policies and methodologies to maintain system integrity.
  • Ensure information systems meet security, compliance, and certification requirements.
  • Administer identification and authentication mechanisms for secure access.
  • Document security-relevant information for hardware, software, firmware, and network devices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain accreditation and security standards.

    • Must Have:
  • TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
  • 10+ years of experience as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) on programs of similar scope and complexity.
  • Experience in at least two of the following areas: security tools, hardware/software security implementation, communication protocols, and encryption techniques/tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or four additional years of experience in lieu of a degree).
  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher.

    • Nice to Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in Cyber Workforce Improvement Program (CWIP) IAM roles.
  • CWIP Level IAT 1 & IAM 2 certification.
  • Strong knowledge of IA policies, procedures, and workforce structure.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining security for network environments (NE).
