You will architect, build and support the systems and infrastructure which protect millions of users' ability to form kind connections, while detecting and mitigating bad actors. You should enjoy thinking of creative solutions that reduce friction while increasing security with context-aware and automation-driven approaches. You enjoy prototyping technology and experimentation, and mentoring others to expand their technical security skills. 

You will work closely with our engineering teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities, implement strategic patterns for security best practices, and automate security processes. You will also monitor and respond to security incidents and maintain compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

This role is based in London and will report into our Chief Information Security and Trust Officer.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct security risk analysis of our systems and infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and risks, identify risk owners and implement mitigating controls.
  • Design, build, implement and maintain security controls, including context-aware access controls, network segmentation, and security monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with SRE, AppSec and workplace technology around vulnerability management, endpoint hardening, and infra detection and response.
  • Automate security processes using scripting and other automation tools.
  • Keeps abreast of trends and the emerging threat landscape related to cybersecurity.
  • Acts as the primary expert on infrastructure and identity security for the organisation.

  • Experience We Are Looking For
  • Extensive experience in information security engineering; preferably in a Linux, hybrid cloud and on-prem environment.
  • Experience in leading the development of, or developing large software projects for modern infrastructure access controls, threat detection, or security automation at scale.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Go, and confidence with SDLC components such as git, Jira and deployment automation.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, operating system dynamics, mobile devices and cybersecurity principles.
