Job Summary


You will be working within a global team to detect, assess, and prioritize vulnerabilities within the environment. This position will involve heavy global collaboration with our internal Cybersecurity team and will interface frequently with different IT teams and departments throughout the organization. The primary workload will involve managing/administering our vulnerability management platform, reviewing security threat intelligence, and leading efforts to quickly address vulnerabilities as they occur.


Key Responsibilities



  • Evaluate security vulnerabilities and their risk to the overall organization.

  • When requested, assist with penetration tests and assessments of varying public and private systems, including applications, networks, and IT/OT systems globally.

  • Ensure that systems globally, including internal and external computing systems, are monitored for weaknesses and those weaknesses are remediated.

  • Resolve incidents, coordinate with other stakeholders or system owners, and take independent action as needed globally to protect Phoenix Contact.

  • Provides input to global standards, policies, and procedures related to IT security.


Qualifications



  • BS Degree Information Security/Related Field or AS Degree and 5+ years of experience

  • Knowledge of vulnerability management technology and/or Qualys exposure

  • Knowledge of IT security best practices

  • Demonstrated ability for continuous learning

  • Possesses sound analytical problem-solving and technical documentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability for continuous learning

We Value



  • Knowledge of antivirus, EDR, and anti-malware technology

  • Knowledge of scripting (Java, Perl, PHP, etc.)

  • Knowledge of active directory, firewall technology, and computer networking


Must Be Able To...



  • Look at a computer screen for extended periods of time (up to 4 hours)

  • Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (2-4 hours at a time).

  • Lift 50 pounds

  • Travel in vehicles (automobiles, trains & planes) for up to 10 hours.

  • Comply with company dress code guidelines

  • Travel to foreign countries

  • Be on-call 24x7 as required
