About The Role
Join the Humane Security Team to create something the world has never seen before. We are attempting something impactful, innovating at the deepest levels of hardware and going big with a service that will compel users to experience computing in a new way. Security is a key component of our product and is absolutely integral to our success.
In this role, you will think broadly about supply chain security, code inspection, static analysis, vulnerability assessment, pentesting and more to make Humane code safe and secure for our users. This role is highly cross-functional, requiring outreach, education and understanding of engineering needs throughout the engineering organization. This is a unique opportunity to define strategy around securing software for a new class of mobile device and cutting edge services.
What You Might Do
- Work with leadership to define Humane’s software security strategy.
- Design and write code: C/C++, Java, Python and more
- Proactively secure Humane’s software, device and services.
- Keep up to date on changes to security technologies and hacking activities in order to keep Humane’s products ahead of the curve with regard to security threats.
- Constantly analyze Humane’s product security stance to address current and future security issues.
Essential Qualifications
- Product security experience
- Understanding of cryptography, authentication, authorization and security vulnerabilities
- Software engineering experience in multiple languages
- Secure coding & SSDL knowledge

- Pentesting, static analysis & software supply chain security experience
- Understanding of product security technologies and protocols (boringssl, TLS, OAuth, etc.)

- Understanding of SELinux & Android services
Salary range: $240,000 - $300,000
