Who we are looking for
OpenX is looking for a pragmatic, talented, and hands-on Security and Privacy Engineer with excellent communication skills to join our team.  

What You’ll Do On the security side:
Improve the security posture of our global Exchange
Make sure our People Based Marketing product is secure by design 
Build tooling and monitoring to support OpenX security

On the privacy side:
Liaise with our product and legal teams to help define technical requirements
Represent GDPR and CA Privacy Act at a technical level
Be the engineering voice of Privacy across all our products.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborating with different teams to provide advice, and help them attain security objectives
  • Implementation of hardening of cloud environments and requisite security policiesImplementing automation of security controls
  • Reviewing controls and providing support during compliance efforts
  • Review and evaluation of currently used tools and policies / procedures / standards in the field of security in the context of cloud security - identification of gaps and adaptation
  • Cooperation with suppliers in the design and implementation of the Proof-of-Concept migration of selected applications and the use of native cloud-based cybersecurity tools
  • Support in project management in the above-mentioned areas of IT security
  • Presentation of cybersecurity issues in a transparent form for technical and non-technical teams

  • Required Qualifications
  • 5+ year in security (application and network), particularly cloud security
  • A passion for consumer privacy 
  • Experience developing at both at the application and infrastructure level 
  • Comfortable with the following technologies/programming languages: Linux, Containers, Kubernetes, Terraform, Java|Golang|Erlang|Python
  • You write clean code, be it a bash script or a Java class
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform 
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written communication skills, which you readily apply in writing documentation
  • Self-directed and self-motivated; Collaborative and Pragmatic
