SUMMARY
A full range of information technology (IT) support services is necessary to satisfy enterprise missions, goals, and objectives in the areas of IT Services, Enterprise Design/Integration/Consolidation, IT Education/Training, IT Program/Project Management, Systems Operations and Maintenance, Network Support, and embedded Information Systems Security, Cyber Security, and Information Assurance to the Program Executive Office Aviation (PEO AVN) Information Technology Support Services.
Seeking an ISSO to ensure cybersecurity policy compliance, endpoint security and patch management in support of PEO Aviation located in Huntsville, AL. This is an intermediate level position. The successful candidate will work with PEO Aviation’s Cyber Team to maintain and strengthen the security posture of PEO Aviation’s enterprise network.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·         Configures and administers McAfee endpoint security policy and components used for host-based antivirus, intrusion prevention, and data loss prevention.
·         Use tools such as Splunk and Elastic to audit for policy compliance and threats from both inside and outside of the network.
·         Uses ACAS and Nessus scanners to locate and remediate vulnerable software.
·         Uses SCCM to patch and/or configure endpoints to a secured baseline.
·         Ensures domain level Group Policy configurations are in place and compliant with approved security posture.
·         Compliance and Auditing processes and inspections for all applications; ensures validity and accuracy review of all associated documentation.
·         Performs compliance reviews of applicable STIGs, performs risk assessments, and performs security test evaluations and audits.
·         Analyzes security requirements for information protection for enterprise applications.
·         Assists in the development of application security policies.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Certifications
·         IAT II Certification
Education, Background, and Years of Experience
·         BA/BS with 5+ years of experience or AA with 7+ years of experience
·         Experience with Windows Server and Desktop operating systems
·         Experience with HBSS, ESS, Splunk, Elastic, ACAS, NESSUS, SCCM, PowerShell, WSUS

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills
·         Ability to interpret and apply DOD and Army level cyber instructions and regulations
·         Familiarity with application of DISA STIGs

Environmental Conditions
·         The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Strength Demands
·         Sedentary – 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles.  Some occasional walking or standing may be required.   Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
