TAG Director of Threat Intelligence

The Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG), the designated Information Sharing Analysis Organization (ISAO) for the digital advertising industry, is seeking a motivated, mission-oriented subject matter expert to serve as day-to-day director of its global threat-sharing operations. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will employ a strategic and creative mindset, "thinking like an adversary.” The Direct of Threat Intelligence will support the TAG Community in sharing intelligence about current and emerging threats through TAG’s threat-sharing tools and platforms, developing early warning capabilities for criminal threats to the digital advertising supply chain, and expanding the culture of threat-sharing through the digital ad industry. The position includes the opportunity to grow and expand responsibilities over time.

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in with cybersecurity and threat intel sharing platforms, including at least 2 years of experience in tactical cyber threat intelligence, vulnerability research, malware analysis and exploit investigation

• 2-3 years of experience in the digital advertising or media industries with functional experience in ad operations, security, product management, project management, or another related area

• 2-3 years of experience as a team lead or project manager

• Polished written and oral communication skills, particularly in relation to communicating actionable threat intelligence to both technical and non-technical executive stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner that inspires action

• Proven analytical, planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Strong collaboration, negotiation and facilitation skills, and ability to build trust among internal and external stakeholders.

• Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

• Knowledge of the programmatic ad serving process

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of threats, fraud, security vulnerabilities and other cyber security-related events within the digital ad supply chain

• Masters or other related professional degree

• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with Threat Intelligence, Fraud, and Compliance teams within TAG member companies, as well as key contacts within TAG’s law enforcement and ISAO/ISAC partners.

• Analyze indicators to generate actionable intelligence and insight into current threats. Provide the TAG community with tactical threat intelligence reports and briefings that provide situational awareness of cyber threats impacting the digital ad supply chain.

• Keep abreast of technical advances in industry best practice to inform changes to TAG’s threat-sharing capacities and technical compliance tools, including proactively researching emerging cyber threats.

• Drive and mature integration on indications and warnings among digital ad tech companies, and between the industry and government.

• Support TAG Community member activities during incident response including malware outbreaks, zero-day vulnerabilities and other major security events.

• Partner with the rest of TAG’s Policy & Compliance department on necessary changes to TAG’s suite of threat-sharing and compliance tools, as well as the development of new tools to benefit the TAG community.

• Support TAG’s C-Suite leadership in strategic planning related to TAG’s threat-sharing operations. Develop and manage implementation of product roadmaps and operating plans. Ensure achievement of growth objectives.

• Speak publicly on behalf of TAG and the TAG Community on the subjects of criminal threats to the digital ad supply chain and threat-sharing operations to counteract such bad actors.
