Bank of America is seeking a leader of the Cyber Security Technology (CST) Solutions Engineering team which reports to the head of the CST team and is a peer to leaders of architecture, research and innovation, solutions management, and quality and sustaining engineering.
The candidate will oversee definition and development of the long-term technology strategy and roadmaps for systems architecture, engineering, service standards and governance routines for each of the five security technology domains: Network, Device, Information, User and Applications.
Responsibilities also include partnering with leaders across Global Information Security (GIS), Global Technology and Operations (GTO) organizations and lines of business to research, engineer, test, implement, monitor, and maintain solutions supporting the Bank’s information security policies.
The position will require leveraging in-depth knowledge to design and deliver secure solutions to meet audit, compliance, operational requirement, customer needs and manage risk while protecting the bank and our customers10+ years of cyber security experience, preferably with a background in security systems design, engineering, delivery and support of products and solutions to complex markets
Experience with engineering roadmap development, strategic planning and program management
Proven track record in delivering solutions at scale in complex, highly-regulated environments with a background in financial services preferred
Strong functional and technical knowledge in the following cyber security domains: Network, Device, Information, User and Application security with direct experience focused on capabilities and lifecycle management of solutions focused on the following threat-centric areas: insider threat, DDoS, malware (and reverse engineering), and information protection/DLP
Experience with proxies, DPI technologies, cryptography, anti-malware and malware reverse engineering, machine learning/artificial intelligence, security analytics, data science, distributed networking, virtualization, and cloud computing; a software development background would also be preferred
Understanding of the dependencies on solutions design with a focus on user experience driven by practical realities of incident response, management, forensics and investigatory requirements
Ability to mobilize and motivate, set direction and approach, resolve conflict and execute with limited information and ambiguity across large, distributed teams while navigating complex organizational structures
Strong understanding of risk management, assessment and remediation planning; governance, risk and compliance related experience
Ability to translate strategy into specific goals, tactics and action plans; tenacity in achieving intended outcomes
Ability to demonstrate expert level communication, interpersonal and leadership skills to influence outcomes in a matrixed organization
Ability to relentlessly drive a strategic vision while building and fostering collaborative relationships to achieve common objectives
Communicate, influence, negotiate and drive consensus both vertically and horizontally to achieve service objectives
Possess an understanding of agile methodology, roles and development support
