This position is 100% remote in Colombia.

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Security Team Lead to spearhead our security initiatives and ensure the safeguarding of our organization's assets. As a Security Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing robust security strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our overall security posture.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the security team, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.


• Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and standards to safeguard company assets and data.


• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats.


• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and other departments to integrate security measures into overall business processes.


• Oversee incident response and forensic investigations in the event of security breaches.


• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging threats, and security technologies to proactively enhance security protocols.


• Manage relationships with external security vendors and contractors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (must).


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role.


• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and compliance standards.


• Experience with security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.


• Proficiency in conducting security assessments and penetration testing.


• Excellent communication and leadership skills.


• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.

Preferred:

• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).


• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.


• Previous experience in a remote work environment.
