IAM Strategist & Solution Architect
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Identity Management Assessment Contractor to lead a comprehensive end-to-end identity management assessment for a large regional hospital. This role requires extensive experience in healthcare identity management, the ability to conduct workshops, perform gap assessments, and develop detailed solutions. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and the ability to design and deliver strategic identity management solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct an end-to-end identity management assessment independently.
- Facilitate workshops with diverse teams, including business users, executives, IT, help desk, directory services, HR, and security.
- Perform a gap assessment to identify deficiencies in the hospital's identity management program.
- Lead sessions to prioritize solutions and develop cost and effort estimates for an 18-month identity program.
- Provide strategic guidance and develop a roadmap to address identified gaps, aligning with the hospital's goals and resources.
- Design and architect identity management solutions using SailPoint, Okta, CyberArk, and other tools.
- Manage development and implementation phases, ensuring solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with best practices.
- Present multiple solution options to stakeholders, outlining pros and cons, costs, and effort levels.
- Advocate for lower-cost, lower-risk solutions when appropriate.
- Contribute to merger integrations, ensuring seamless identity management transitions.
- Develop deliverables such as strategic roadmaps, design documents, and implementation plans based on best practices.
- Participate in pre-sales work and proposal development, supporting business development efforts.
Future Responsibilities (Upon Implementation Work Award):
- Oversee and provide solution architecture for SSO, Directory Services, Identity Management, Identity Governance, and PAM projects.
- Manage multiple projects, providing solution architecture and design support.
- Ensure successful project execution from planning through testing and go-live.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5+ years in identity management within a healthcare environment.
- 3+ years as a consultant.
- Involvement in at least 10 identity management projects.
- Oversight of at least three projects from planning through testing and go-live.
- Ability to conduct identity management assessments and gap analyses independently.
- Strong facilitation skills for leading workshops with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in developing strategic roadmaps and detailed estimates for large-scale identity programs.
- Knowledge of SailPoint, Okta, CyberArk, and at least one additional tool.
- Track record of managing multiple projects and providing solution architecture and design support.
- Strong critical thinking skills with examples of problem-solving in complex environments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in managing and integrating identity management solutions during mergers and acquisitions.
- Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, CIS).
- Ability to travel to California for project kick-off and additional short trips as needed.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience in solution architecture and detailed design within identity management.
- Knowledge of cloud-based identity and access management solutions.
- Familiarity with data protection, governance, and compliance in healthcare.
Work Commitment:
- Commit to at least 20 hours per week, with occasional spikes up to 30 hours.
- Prioritize this work to ensure timely delivery of all project tasks.
