Security Specialist
Supervisor: Security Manager
Approximate Hours/Week Required On-Site: 10% On-Site/90% remote
Will I be a Supervisor: No
Am I a required driver: No, you just need reliable transportation to get to work.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

Compensation: $23.07-$27.19 Per Hour

The Objective:
This is an administrative position within the Security Department whose mission is to create a safe environment for staff, patients, and facilities. You support adherence to organizational policies and procedures and work collaboratively with other PPRM departments.

Success:
You will know you are successful when our teams interact with you due to your effective trustworthiness and attention to detail related to all things OSINT and Security.  Our databases are kept up-to-date, you have timely reporting to Security Manager and we have advanced intelligence regarding potential activities.
 
Snapshot:
Your days will be split between research, tracking, customer service, and administrative functions. You will occasionally be scheduled to be on-call during weekends, holidays, and overnight.
 
Qualifications:
You have strong analytical skills and attention to detail and are a proactive problem solver, taking initiative and handling multiple tasks at once.  You communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills and are a team player. You have intermediate-level experience with the Microsoft suite, other databases, and search engines.  Experience in the security field or OSINT is a plus.

Primary Areas of Responsibility/Essential Functions:
 
1) Opposition Research, Threat Tracking, and Security Assessments: You pride yourself on having your finger on the pulse—you're thorough, have a deep working knowledge of the landscape and constantly look for new information that will help ensure our collective safety. When necessary, you communicate security information to others and maintain high professional standards.  To do this, you will:
·         Maintain an up-to-date and working knowledge of opposition actors, groups, and tactics. This includes the general public discourse around abortion and the opposition narrative regarding PPRM and abortion.
·         Use open-source investigative techniques for background checks, vetting, and risk management purposes. 
·         Keep an up-to-date and working knowledge of open-source intelligence techniques
·         Collect and communicate timely and accurate security information to appropriate stakeholders within PPRM and external law enforcement partners
·         Deliver evidence and analysis-based security assessments to stakeholders within PPRM
·         Gather and input information within the Security Department including maintaining databases.
 
2) Administrative Functions and Customer Service: You are a key member of the team who provides information and training, as well as ensures proper access controls are followed. You respond to others across the PPRM team with sincerity and empathy, working to help others feel heard and safer as a result of interactions with you. To do this you will:
·         Gather incident information from other departments including reports and security incidents as required
·         Support security trainings on key security concepts and train appropriate staff on those concepts. 
·         Assist Security Manager and Director of Security with Security Department administrative projects
·         Assist Security Manager and Director of Security with facility security reviews and analysis when needed
·         Ensure all access controls are strictly adhered to when working with confidential security information. Enforces access controls with all employees requesting access to secure files.
Provide excellent customer service to all employees interacting with the Security Department.
