About the role and responsibilities
We are looking for an Engineering Manager for our Core Security team which consists of Security Engineering and Security Operations. In the organization's shared responsibility model (aligned with the NIST CSF functions) for product security and infrastructure security, the Core Security team's main focus areas are Protect and Detect. That means everything from Identity and Access Management of enterprise services, to security engineering for Product with CI/CD services. This role is supported by senior technical leads who work in a highly collaborative way within their teams. This role will help drive greater adoption of SDLC practices through aligning with internal stakeholders, supporting changes needed among scope owners, and measuring progress toward adoption or enhanced security posture.
You are able to focus on your team's deliveries whilst at the same time seeing the big picture, clearing and escalating obstacles in their path and supporting the professional development of the team. It is important that you get energy from working as a collaborative leader and can coach a team with different competency areas and levels. You have experience in scaling internal service organizations and are comfortable developing processes to drive quality and repeatability that support efficiency and alignment in how Cognite secures its product and organization.
