Overall Job Purpose:
The role is to organize and oversee all security operations of the Facility. This position will oversee that all security protocols, client requirements, policies/procedures and security standards are being adhered to. This role will have a reporting structure into the Facility manager and the Global Safety, Risk, and Security team.
As Security Supervisor, you will have to demonstrate excellent surveillance and emergency response skills. You will need a strong commitment to security rules and knowledge of all hazards and threats to safety.  The goal is to create and preserve an environment where employees, visitors and property are safe and well-protected.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the proper operation of all security systems including CCTV, Access Control and IDS equipment.
  • Work closely with senior leadership develop and document inventory control procedures to reduce risk.
  • Proactively identify and work to address opportunities for improvement with inventory control procedures. Take ownership for improvements and see them through to completion.
  • Develop, implement and maintain security policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Manage 3rd Party after hours contractor agreements
  • Manage 3rd Party security control contractors
  • Control and Issue secure access badges for employees and visitors.
  • Manage yard and dock security.
  • Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs.
  • Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events
  • Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms.
  • Review reports on incidents and breaches.
  • Investigate and resolve issues.
  • Create reports for management on security status.
  • Analyse data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology)
  • Assist with implementation and promotion of ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 / 27001 and R2 procedures within the facility.

  • Asset/Loss Prevention
  • Experience as security supervisor/manager or similar position
  • Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. ACS, CCTV, metal detector)
  • Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis
  • Working knowledge of MS Office or Google suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Committed and reliable
