Job Description: 


Accenture Federal Services (AFS) is seeking a junior-level Security Researcher to support our cyber mission security work. The work will include analyzing software for vulnerabilities and developing respective cyber capabilities. Candidates will demonstrate practical experience designing, developing, and deploying tools integrating with command and control systems and deploying secure network transmission capabilities.


Here is what you need:



  • Zero to 6 months experience in security research.

  • One or more internships focused on security research, vulnerability management, or other cybersecurity related work.

  • One or more college-level classes in programming/scripting language in n one of the following Python, Bash, C, C++, Assembly, or other.

  • One or more college-level projects related to cybersecurity, security engineering, or software engineering. 


Bonus points if you have:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science related field.

  • Experience developing/defeating mitigations (e.g. ASLR, DEP, N^X)

  • Experience developing defeats of common anti-RE techniques (e.g. obfuscation)

  • Understanding of embedded platforms (e.g. FPGA, physical memory)

  • Experience with securely implemented cryptographic primitives (e.g. AES-GCM, SHA256, ECDSA)

  • Familiarity with program analysis tools and techniques (e.g. control flow, heap grooming, taint tracing)

  • Experience with effective use of automated analysis (e.g. fuzzers, emulation, sandbox)

  • Knowledge of file systems and formats (e.g. ELF, PE, Mach-O)

  • Effective communication with customers and teammates

  • Experience developing proof-of-concept exploits


Security Clearance:



  • An active Secret clearance is required to start


Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below and information on benefits offered is here.    
 
Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role    
California: $73,900 - $132,100 
Colorado: $73,900 - $114,000   
New York: $68,400 - $132,100 
Washington: $78,600 - $121,500
