Role Purpose:

In this role you will deliver business security operations, across administration, policy, audit, reporting and advisory services for Neo4j to ensure that:
● We demonstrate effective security management and reporting 
● We are aware of cyber risk 
● We are prepared for, can effectively react to, investigate and mitigate threats so that we remain resilient in the face of a cyber security incident involving Neo4j

Core role responsibilities:
  • Implementing security operations in Neo4j, in conjunction with your peers in Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC), Software security, and Security Engineering. 
  • Implementing appropriate security measures and tools to protect the wider business and work closely with internal teams and specifically our IT department and web hosting lead. 
  • Maintaining our security incident response procedures and communications and supporting the Security Operations Lead as required. 
  • Implementing and running internal and external security help function.
  • Providing security awareness training in the business, ensuring that training is provisioned, records are maintained and feedback is reviewed and fed back into future training. 
  • Undertaking security investigation, and reporting as required. 
  • Providing support for key services such as forensics, penetration testing(blue/red/purple) and compliance activities. 
  • Support the Neo4j apprentice program and intern projects.

  • To be successful in this role you'll have:
  • A love for information security; at least most parts of it!
  • Have knowledge or experience in working in a busy operations environment and being part of a team. 
  • Enjoy a challenge! And have an enthusiasm for learning, troubleshooting and problem solving 
  • Desire to grow your personal knowledge and/or experience in either hands-on technical involvement with security tools or working in the administration and delivery of risk management.
  • Enjoy the challenge of successfully integrating security into business operations.
  • Desire to grow your personal knowledge of cyber risk management and its application in a business environment. 
  • Participate in online cyber security communities and have awareness of hacking techniques and trends. 
  • Have curiosity and desire to learn. 

  • Nice to have: 
  • Software development knowledge or experience. 
  • A desire to achieve professional Certification in security such as CISSP or CISM or similar. 
  • Degree educated or have the equivalent experience 
  • Knowledge of working in modern cloud environments such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
