This position is exclusively for the 2024 Toronto Refugee Hiring Event. To be eligible to apply, you must meet the following criteria:
- Arrived in Canada as a refugee (government or private sponsorship), applied for asylum after arriving in Canada (refugee claimant/asylum seeker), or were forcibly displaced. This includes individuals from countries such as Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iran, and others.
- Currently reside in the Greater Toronto Area or in close proximity to the Greater Toronto Area.
- You can attend the event in-person in Toronto on October 7th.
- Eligible to work in Canada (you must have Permanent Residency, Citizenship, or a valid work permit).
- 18 years of age or older.

Job Summary:
Primary responsibilities will be to deliver preventative visits to access control, intruder alarm and CCTV systems, mainly in commercial environments, to company and industry standards, within a given time.
Requirements:
•Have a passion for the trade and is a problem solver with excellent attention to detail.
•Excellent customer communication skills, and is a team player with a can-do attitude.
•Have a good knowledge of CANASA and security industry Standards.
•Electronic Installation Qualification(s) - Or equivalent. (Preferred).
•You should be able to manage your work and exhibit the companies vision and values.
•You must have experience working in a similar role in the security industry.
•Multi-disciplined in the security industry from service, small works, fault-finding and maintenance, and having installation knowledge.
•Hold a Full Clean Driving Licence - Essential for this post.
•Must have the ability to adapt to new technologies.
•Depending on experience, the person will be expected to deal with pre-booked preventative visits on small or large systems.
•Must have excellent fault diagnosis skills, including working on more complex systems, and occasions will assist with the installation team on similar projects.
Qualifications:
•Excellent knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Door Entry and Intruder Alarm Systems
•Minimum 5-years’ experience working within the Electronic Security Systems industry
•Knowledge and experience of Systems Networking and IP Configuration
•Must be capable of obtaining a Federal Level II Security Clearance
•Proficiency in Excel and Word.
•Staying current on the entire line of security solutions provided by Ainsworth (i.e. AMAG, Avigilon, Genetec, ICT, RS2, Salient, etc..)
