The Cybersecurity Faculty Manager oversees a team of Cybersecurity instructors to ensure a consistent and high quality learning experience for all students across all Flatiron School modalities. This role is focused primarily on supporting faculty to develop the technical and pedagogical skills needed to drive student success in a challenging and rewarding educational environment. Under the guidance of a Cybersecurity Program Director, Cybersecurity Faculty Managers collaborate with other Education teams to ensure high quality curriculum, teaching practices, and student services. Occasionally, Cybersecurity Faculty Managers will support faculty and students in other disciplines for short periods of time.

Responsibilities:
Manage and develop an Instructor team to ensure the highest quality instruction:
- Manage a roster of instructors:
- Hiring and onboarding
- Technical upskilling and training
- Monthly CSAT goals to measure instructor efficacy and growth
- Ensure instructional excellence and consistency of curriculum delivery
- Communicate strategic direction and execute program objectives
- Conduct administrative tasks such as staff scheduling and program scheduling
- Upskilling instructors on technology or pedagogy related to curricula and instruction
- Scheduling and coordinating internal and external hiring
- Contribute to incremental curriculum updates including content, labs, assessments, and other learning experiences
Collaborate with other teams to ensure high quality curriculum, teaching practices, and student services:
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and meet instructor needs
- Communicating across teams to foster collaboration and information sharing
- Collaborate with Operations Coordinator to implement key initiatives that drive discipline performance
- Distribute and analyze feedback surveys
- Collect and analyze performance data about students and instructors
- Coordinate and oversee student communications about curricula and evolving classroom practices
- There may be other tasks assigned to the Faculty Manager based on business priorities, operational changes, or program changes
Qualifications:
- Experience building, coaching and managing a team
- Strong technical knowledge of Cybersecurity topics
- Professional experience as a teacher and/or Cybersecurity
- Strong communication skills
- Strong performance management experience
- Experience with a data-driven approach to problem solving
- A love of education, cybersecurity, a service orientation, and excitement to create great learning experiences for students
- The ability deliver insights and feedback in a way that drives impact on instructor performance
- A strong goal orientation, and experience setting and working towards goals thoughtfully
Expected Compensation:
- $100K-125K annually
