In this job, you’ll support the Cybersecurity Program as the Principal Engineer for Network Security and Governance. The Cybersecurity Advisor will be part of developing the strategy for network security and governance from envisioning to steady state.

A Day in the Life – Get Ready to Think Big, Work Smart, and Shine Bright
· Develop, recommend, and document the goals, objectives and strategic plans for network security and governance.
· Establish schedules and methods for providing specialized services, implement policies, and procedures.
· Develop the coordinated response strategy for complex cyber-attacks, identify threats, develop suitable defense measures, evaluate system changes for security implications, and recommend enhancements.
· Use a structured approach to Architecture projects using existing methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Iterative) that make use of exiting reference architecture and established architectural styles and design patterns. Propose and develop new solutions to scale across multiple customers/partners.
· Define and document the architecture through an architecture description document, an architecture decisions log, and a requirements/constraints traceability matrix to communicate the value proposition of the business solution along with the project approach.
· Lead complex cost and technology-based discussions to explain the Architecture in terms of its build, deployment, and ongoing operational use to determine customer appetite for the business solution.
· Work with partners (e.g., Security Team, Enterprise Architects, Development Team, Operations Team) and business sponsor to socialize both the business solution and the project approach to determine adoption strategies.
· Lead technical teams around technology opportunities by sharing ideas, insight, critical thinking, and input from various collaborators.
· Work in close collaboration with the Project Manager and Cyber Leadership to identify, categorize, and communicate business and technical risks. Define risk mitigation activities that are foundational to the project plan. Define risk contingency plans for invocation should the risk occur.
· Act as an advisor to partners. Provide direction to facilitate relationships between and across the enterprise.
· Act as mentor to colleagues by educating them on technical and non-technical concepts and sharing standard methodologies.
Qualifications
The Essentials
· 7+ years technology-related experience with specific focus on network security and governance.
· 3+ years leading multiple projects or portfolios and leading blended, multidisciplinary teams
· Expert level knowledge of Cybersecurity concepts and mitigation practices, such as Advanced Persistent Threat (APT), Insider Risk, Zero Trust, and Privileged Access.
· Expert level knowledge and/or certification in SDN Network Security. Specifically, CISSCO ACI network security architecture, design, and implementation.
· Expert level knowledge of network security, threat modeling, incident response and recovery techniques and knowledge of Security Standards, Policies and Governance frameworks.
The Preferred
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
· Technical or Professional Certification in Domain (e.g., Security): Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CCIE Data Center, CCIE Security, CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure
· ITIL Certification
You Should Know
· This position is a HYBRID role. You will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, you will be required to reside in the State of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
· US Citizenship required as part of Critical Infrastructure security protocols.
· Relocation may apply.
