We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Transformation Director to lead and drive cybersecurity transformation efforts. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity strategies, managing cybersecurity projects, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex cybersecurity programs, particularly in implementing the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).
What You'll Do:Cybersecurity Program Leadership: Lead the overall cybersecurity transformation strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Drive the integration of cybersecurity best practices and frameworks across the organization.NIST Cybersecurity Framework Implementation: Spearhead the implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF). Program Management: Oversee the successful delivery of cybersecurity transformation programs from initiation through to execution. Manage budgets, resources, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring that projects are on track, meeting performance standards, and mitigating risks. Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior leadership, key business stakeholders, and external partners to communicate cybersecurity strategies, risks, and initiatives. Provide strategic direction and influence decision-making on cybersecurity priorities across the organization.Risk Management: Identify program risks, working with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate risks, develop remediation plans.Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, cybersecurity policies, and industry standards. Team Development & Collaboration: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing cybersecurity transformation team. Foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture and drive continuous learning and professional development within the departmentContinuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by staying abreast of emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies. Regularly evaluate and update cybersecurity strategies to align with changing organizational and industry needs.
What You Have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).Proven experience in managing multiple priorities and complex cybersecurity projects.Proven ability to drive change and innovation in cybersecurity practices and culture.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Strong leadership capabilities, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, or equivalent are highly desirable.In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity tools, technologies, and incident response protocols.Ability to travel at least 50% to Los Angeles.
