As security engineers we are custodians for a wide range of security services from IAM, end point security, data protection (DLP, web proxy), Cryptographic services (HSM, CA, Certs) and we’re learning to build out into the cloud.
 
As the newest member of our Cyber Security team you will be joining a passionate team of twenty-five who are responsible for managing our security so that we drive best industry practice, enable Tyro to achieve critical business objectives and safeguard our customers’ and our business’ critical information and data.

Our 24-month graduate program is fantastic opportunity to experience a broad view of security in a collaborative and innovative environment.  You will begin to build your financial industry experience by understanding the banking business and the statutory and industry requirements placed on financial institutions.

You will:
  • Promote a security-first culture
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers and architects to deliver high-quality security services and deployments
  • Be an active contributor and help the team triage to either troubleshoot or escalate support request
  • Take ownership and manage one or more security owned services
  • Attend and actively participate in collaboration and planning sessions
  • Look for opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve our processes

  • Risk Management
  • Responsible for the identification and management of risk in day to day responsibilities
  • Comply with Tyro policies and procedures including completing mandatory training within the required timeframes
  • Role model positive risk behaviours and contribute towards a strong risk culture at Tyro

  • Our ideal candidate
  • You have recently completed or are in your final semester of studying a Bachelor of Engineering/IT/Cyber Security/Computer science or a relevant technology focused degree
  • You have a genuine interest in cyber/cloud/information security
  • You are able to demonstrate your experience in a programming language
  • Outstanding all-round communication skills
