Your focus will be on designing, building, and maintaining robust security architectures that enable millions of users to form kind connections, while effectively detecting and mitigating threats.

You mentor others and bring them along with solid documentation, prototyping and clear solutions. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain security architecture for our infrastructure, ensuring that systems and applications are secure by design. 
  • Develop scalable solutions that enhance security without impeding user experience.
  • Lead security risk assessments for systems and infrastructure, identifying vulnerabilities and risks. Develop and implement mitigating controls to address identified risks, ensuring a proactive approach to security.
  • Collaborate closely with Infra, SRE, AppSec, and other engineering teams to establish security best practices across the organisation. Drive the adoption of strategic security patterns and frameworks that align with business goals.
  • Lead projects with high strategic impact, setting a strategy that can be used in the long term and across the breadth of the organisation.
  • Innovate and prototype new technologies to stay ahead of emerging threats.
  • Govern the incident response process, assisting with playbook development and exercises for the highest impact events.

  • Required Experience & Skills
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing security architectures, particularly in Linux, hybrid cloud, and on-prem environments.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale projects involving modern infrastructure access controls, threat detection, and security automation.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python and Go. Familiarity with SDLC components such as git, Jira, and deployment automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, mobile security, and cybersecurity principles. Experience with security monitoring tools, context-aware access controls, and network segmentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organisation, with strong communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
