Responsibilities
  • Monitor tools and system for real-time alerts, DLP reports, etc., including:
    • monitoring and reporting on network, system, and application logs for security events,
    monitoring security tools for proper operation and system health,
    notifying applicable groups of the vulnerabilities, mitigations, and resolutions.
  • Resolve issues assigned based on skills and knowledge.
  • Perform operational configuration or maintenance tasks as assigned based on skills and training.
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures and documentation for tools and security operations as assigned.
  • Participate in shift rotations which include email coverage and providing 24x7 on call support.
  • Attend an annual training for personal growth.

    • Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or 2 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
  • 2 years of commercial experience in Information Security.
  • Meticulous and detail oriented. Self-starter and able to learn quickly both in-class and from documentation, videos, etc.
  • Basic understanding of HTTPS/TLS, TCP/IP, networking concepts, and services such as SMTP, DNS, NTP, FTP, SNMP
  • Understanding malware, viruses, worms, and Trojans
  • Basic understanding of tiered application structure and security
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision

    • Preferred
  • IT or Information Security courses or certifications such as Security+ / CISA / SSCP preferred
  • Familiarity with SOC 2 related compliance is a plus.
  • Organizational skills / project management experience is a plus.
