Join us as a Cybersecurity Engineering & Operations Advisor on our Active Directory and Authentication Infrastructure Services team in Mexico to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.
What you’ll achieve
The Cybersecurity Engineering & Operations Advisor will directly interface on customer’s requests, problem investigations, and incident tickets; provide security first-answer and support of events or requests; own the process for provisioning and de-provisioning of access to systems; including troubleshoot access across multiples systems and groups; and lead the implementation of infrastructure, applications, monitors, security controls, and other project deliverables based on cybersecurity standards, policies, and requirements.
You will:
- Assist and perform testing of solutions, recommend improvements, and support the deployment of changes by following Dell’s change and release management processes
- Serve as operations level-3 support for assigned technologies, by leading the root-cause analysis efforts, troubleshoot and restore services, or implement workarounds as needed
- Manage the infrastructure and software lifecycles, including setup, maintenance, end-of-life retirements, replacements, and upgrades
- Effectively communicate, to stakeholders and executives, the implications, dependencies, and business implications of events impacting our infrastructure, security, or other policy-related topics.
- Develop and maintain the operational procedures, standards, and policies, that are needed for the daily operation of assigned cybersecurity systems
- Manage customer-related escalations and lead their resolution
- Ensure all service management procedures are being followed and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are met
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks and willingness to work extra hours in emergency situations or during on-call shifts

Essential Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience deploying and maintaining applications in large Linux environments
- 5+ years Linux experience with emphasis in administration of Network Information Service (NIS) directory services and access controls
- Must be able to meet the ISSM requirements as documented in the National Industrial Security Program Operation Manual (NISPOM)
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of IT systems, domains, enterprise applications, DNS, and Networking
- Able to effectively perform knowledge transfers and train peers regarding areas of expertise
Desirable Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience can be substituted for educational requirements
- ITIL V3 Foundations, or above, certified
- Customer-oriented with a strong interest in customer satisfaction
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. With emphasis on technical writing skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical teams
- Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly with or without formal training
- Functional knowledge in one or more cybersecurity technologies. For instance, enterprise end-point security products (i.e. Virus Scan, Anti-Spyware, Host Data Loss Protection, Endpoint Encryption, etc.) Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, firewalls, Web Proxy, and E-Mail and Web Gateway.
