The Role


Capital on Tap is at the start of its AppSec journey and this role will be an important part of our company's security efforts. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, eager to learn, and passionate about application security.


The Application Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security of our company's software applications. This includes identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities, implementing security controls, and providing guidance to development teams on secure coding practices.

What you'll be doing:



  • Identifying and assessing security risks in our software applications

  • Implementing security controls and best practices to mitigate identified risks

  • Providing guidance and training to development teams on secure coding practices

  • Working closely with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle


About you:



  • Experience with C# and .NET development

  • Extensive hands-on experience implementing, supporting and managing application security solutions and a strong understanding of application security concepts and best practices.

  • Knowledge of Static Application Security Testing, Dynamic Applications Security Testing, Software Composition Analysis & API Security Testing.

  • Knowledge in Secure Coding Techniques incl. OWASP & CWE Top 25

  • Experience with cloud platform (Azure) is desirable
