phia is expecting significant growth in the near future! We are currently reviewing resumes for a talented Cybers Security Analyst to join our team. If you have experience developing best practices for cyber security and patch management on legacy systems and networks, we should talk! The selected candidate is intended to work on-site in Merrifield, Virginia, with some scheduled telework. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance to Merrifield, VA.


Other Duties:
  • Apply knowledge of enterprise security and patch management systems to monitor, report and perform security management functions
  • Analyze, provide recommendations, and remediate vulnerabilities and respond to risk assessments.
  • Provide recommendations to management to improve the patch process and the applications used to assign, verify, and install patch releases.
  • Upgrade legacy operating systems (OS) and database applications and implement system changes according to new security standards.
  • Develop and deploy jump servers at each site for secure access to systems.

  • Required: Education + Experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Cybersecurity engineering in the public or private sector
  • 5+ years of experience with designing, upgrading, maintaining, administering, and trouble-shooting Windows and UNIX environments
  • 3+ Experience with maintaining Virtual Machines, including set up, cloning, and maintaining
  • 3+ years of experience with scanning and detecting system vulnerabilities, performing risk analysis and risk assessment, auditing and reporting on network, system, and application security, and mitigating risks to systems security
  • 3+ years of experience with HCL BigFix, ForeScout, Nessus, Microfocus Solutions Business Manager (SBM), or other enterprise asset management platforms
  • Experience with host–based security tools, EDR and data loss prevention
  • Experience with writing security related documentation, including Standards, Policy, Guidance, Standard Operating Procedures, Risk Frameworks, and Compliance Frameworks
  • BA or BS degree
