Dark Wolf Solutions is looking for a Senior Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to work as part of an Information Technology (IT) Operations Team responsible for standing-up and maintaining one or more production Operations Centers (OC). The team will support the technical infrastructure of a complex Windows Server-based ecosystem that leverages cloud resources and cutting-edge technologies. Given the customer’s critical mission, the team may need to flex to evolving requirements to ensure efficient, secure operations and successful business outcomes.


This position is located in the Tysons Corner, VA area and will require limited travel, approximately two 1–2-week long trips for training and networking. The Senior ISSM will be responsible for achieving and maintaining all security accreditations for the various IT equipment, developing solutions to complex information system compliance and security problems, and interfacing with customers to understand security practices and policies and maintain alignment with updates to those policies. The job requirements may include but not be limited to the following:



  • Developing, analyzing, modifying the cybersecurity accreditation management and change reporting baseline to maintain the operational security posture

  • Reviewing requests for software installations and conducting technical risk assessments on software implementation

  • Facilitating and maintaining security accreditations for computers, networks, and data to mitigate risks of computer viruses, security breaches, and malicious hacker attacks

  • Conducting technical evaluation of information systems design, and information security aspects and accreditation

    • Coordinating and tracking security action requests and reporting status

    • Maintaining risk management repository such as Xacta or  Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)



  • Conduct and analyze auditing requirements weekly

    • Performing vulnerability assessments using Nessus Security Scanner, Web Inspect and App Detective

    • Assist with resolving operational security issues involving vendors who support the program




Required Qualifications:



  • 8+ years of experience in IT security and/or information assurance

  • Working knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance policies and regulations and how they relate to the certification and accreditation process

  •  Experience authoring and maintaining systems security documentation

  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with ICE 503 accreditation requirements

  • Demonstrated experience navigating Federal security and accreditation processes to include certification and accreditation of an IT system to Authority to Operate (ATO)

  • Experience generating appropriate security documentation to receive proper accreditation from customer security personnel, and correcting security shortfalls as they are identified through customer sponsored reviews

  • Familiarity with how to architect and implement the systems developments from a security perspective

  • Possesses strong technical and analytical abilities

  • Effective communication skills and ability to successfully interface with internal and external customers (i.e. Security Control Assessors, Program Managers, etc.)

  • Experience with Xacta

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

  • US Citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with polygraph


Desired Qualifications:



  •  Knowledge of computer forensics tools and investigative methodologies

  • Experience supporting various computer hardware and multiple operating systems in both a stand-alone and in LAN/WAN configurations

  • Experience with various types of Security Test and Evaluation  (STE)

  • Trained and proficient in Assured File Transfer (AFT) processes and tools

  • Knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Solaris, IRIX, SUSE, and MAC operating systems
