Dell drives businesses forward in a changing world. Our Cybersecurity team designs, builds, operates and oversees the implementation of network and computer security technologies. They are responsible for the planning and design of security technology architectures and focus on the implementation of technologies to protect Dell.
The Dell Security & Resiliency organization manages the security risk across all aspects of Dell’s business. We are currently experiencing incredible growth in order to meet the security needs of the world’s largest technology company. We are currently seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our Security & Resiliency team, based in the United States. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and fast-moving, with the ability to independently lead projects in addition to being responsible for daily activities that ensure the overall health of network security infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the security design, implementation, operations and integration of critical network security initiatives within Dell Technologies.
- Prepare and implement firewall and security device policies & changes.
- Provide technical support & troubleshoot issues with security devices across multiple regions and environments.
- Explore and implement new features and capabilities for firewalls.
- Provide on-call support. Serve as subject matter expert for supported technologies.
- Deploy & maintain security solutions in multiple environments.
- Participate in security projects, customer engagements or business processes.

Essential Requirements
- Experience with firewalls Checkpoint, Palo Alto or SonicWALL, experience with Cisco routers and switches. Experience with software defined networks (e.g. VMware NSX-V and NSX-T).
- Good understanding of scripting platforms & tools, including PowerShell, Python, etc. Good understanding of networking and cybersecurity fundamentals (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, OSI Model, Routing & Switching, Firewall Policy & Configuration, IPS).
- Experience with security processes and documentation. Understanding of logging mechanisms (e.g. Syslog, Splunk)
Desirable Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related technology field with 8+ years experience; or equivalent work experience
- Industry certifications relevant to the role such as CCNP/CCIE/CISSP.
