As a Senior Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security measures to protect our cloud infrastructure and applications. This position involves collaborating with various teams to ensure robust security practices, enhancing the security posture of our systems, and responding to security incidents. Additionally, you will be instrumental in educating and guiding our engineering teams to adopt secure development practices.
Duties & Responsibilities:Security Design and Management: Design, configure, and manage security solutions, predominantly focusing on Azure services, including PaaS and networking services.Infrastructure and CI/CD Security: Provision resources using Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform), and create, deploy, and manage secure CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) to automate deployment and release processes, ensuring security is embedded from the get go.Tooling Management: Manage and enhance security tooling to support security monitoring and incident response.Team Education and Training: Develop security training programs and workshops for software engineering teams to promote secure coding practices and increase security awareness. Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers on security best practices.Policy and Process Development: Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance and best practices.Security Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions, ensuring timely detection and response to security events. Create reports and dashboards to demonstrate security posture and operational efficiency.Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product management, and other departments to ensure security requirements are integrated into all phases of development and operations.Incident Response: Lead and participate in incident response activities, including investigation, mitigation, and post-incident analysis.Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies. Continuously improve security measures and practices.
Competencies & Role/Education Requirements:Experience: Several years of experience in cloud security, particularly with Azure-based infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance.Security Tools: Extensive experience with security and observability tools.Networking Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of networking within the Azure platform, including firewalls, VNETs, and zero trust principles.Networking Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of networking within the Azure platform, including firewalls, VNETs, and zero trust principles.CDN and Caching: Understanding of Content Delivery Network deployments and distributed caching.Infrastructure as Code: Practical experience with infrastructure as code (Bicep, Terraform) and scripting.Education and Mentorship: Proven experience in educating and mentoring software engineering teams on security best practices, secure coding, and compliance requirements.Security Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in securing cloud environments, applications, and data.Collaboration: Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Certifications: Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Azure Security Engineer) are highly desirable.
