The Security Manager will work to apply knowledge and skill to resolve any physical threats that may arise due to internal or external situations. This position will provide support and protection to help resolve any onsite issues and problems that have been identified by the People Operations Department. Another important function for this role will be to monitor, exhibit, enforce, research and present best safety practices including but not limited to access compliance (including guests), exit process, hazardous materials, active shooter awareness, emergency response plan development, and any other relevant topics. 

Essential Functions:
  • Assist in all physical security aspects of Arrive’s US Operations inclusive of badging, cameras, emergency planning, response and training, and on-site security staff.
  • Patrol, monitor and maintain all exits and entry ways and ensure they are secured and functioning properly. Ensure employees/visitors are adhering to access and exit policies/practices and wearing badges at all times. Identify, resolve, prevent and report actual or potential safety issues, risks or problems. 
  • Collaborate with leadership in any workplace violence or safety related incidents or perceived threats, coordinate with leadership and mitigate risk. Handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately.
  • Serve as a key point of security contact to ensure the delivery of high quality customer service for the company; evaluate service quality and initiate any necessary corrective action in a timely manner. 
  • Create, update and maintain safety related procedures, documentation and supplemental information, including medical emergencies, active shooter, workplace violence, bomb threat, fire, and natural disaster response protocol. 
  • Partner with facilities team in developing and maintaining Emergency Response Procedures to include Fire, Life, Safety training and support annual fire drills. Maintain fire exit route maps for job sites.
  • Prepare reports and/or make presentations on emergency responses, internal investigations, losses, claims, or violations of regulation, policies and procedures. 
  • Ensure safety related company policies and procedures are communicated and followed.
  • Integrate with the Business Continuity Team, assist with the development of Business Continuity Plan. Assist with risk/vulnerability assessment for current and prospective office locations.

  • Additional responsibilities as needed:
  • Be present at all company events/parties to ensure the safety of upper management as well as assist with transporting employees from events as needed.
  • Travel with upper management to ensure their safety as needed.
  • Travel to satellite Arrive branch locations to ensure security and facilities are up to standards as needed, including but not limited to Chicago, IL., San Antonio, TX., and Tampa FL.

  • Qualifications/Experience:
  • Associate Degree or equivalent, will wave for related law enforcement or military experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years business management/operations/supervisory experience
  • Excellent knowledge of security and safety protocols and procedures, as well as company-specific procedures
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization
  • Ability to take initiative and achieve desired results
  • Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment, and carry out multiple assignments concurrently
  • Ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures
  • Ability to take verbal/written instruction and execute with confidence
