phia is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Engineer with a passion for protecting large enterprises from cyber threats and a desire to advance their career in a dynamic and challenging environment. In this position, you will assume a pivotal role in shaping the security architecture for a diverse array of applications and domains, including cloud computing. You will be dedicated to substantial projects and initiatives characterized by their considerable size, complexity, and associated risk factors. This customer is located in Morrisville, NC with remote capability.

This support contract provides a broad range of cyber services to all components under the CISO including cyber operations, cyber risk, security engineering and digital integration departments. The client’s enterprise consists of over 600,000 employees, 500,000 devices, 200,000 enterprise email accounts, 200,000 endpoints, 800 firewall sets, and 640+ URLs of which 350 require web application firewall protection.
 


What You'll Do
  • Security Analysis and Specification:
  • Analyze similarities and differences of an existing system and customer needs to identify protection needs for information system(s) and network(s)
  • Provide detailed specifications for technical needs of the infrastructure
  • System Security Development:
  • Develop a system security context and preliminary system security concept of operations (CONOPS), including baseline system security requirements
  • Determine appropriate levels of system availability based on critical system functions and provide input on disaster recovery and continuity of operations requirements
  • Security Architecture and Design Evaluation:
  • Evaluate acquisition documents against existing and proposed security architectures and designs by examining the security-relevant parts of a system and interrelationships within the enterprise
  • Security Blueprint and Guideline Development:
  • Develop actionable security blueprints, principles, models, designs, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency, usability, security, and value in the enterprise information technology architecture and support.

  • Required: Education + Experience
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in information security operations and/or related IT operational functions
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, Or equivalent work experience

  • Desired Certifications and Experience
  • CompTIA Security + 
  • CPTE - Certified Penetration Testing Engineer or CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker
  • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)


  • Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust (or higher) government clearance
