Job Summary: We are hiring a Global Head of Security Operations. In this role you will assume ownership of our Public Cloud Cyber Defense Center (RCDC). You’re expected to be highly technical but also able to present the cyber defense capabilities to prospective customers, in support of sales pitches. You’ll be responsible for RCDC bookings and revenue as well as underlying operating costs

Key Responsibilities:Provide leadership and direction through managers, senior managers and senior professional staff.Leads managers, senior managers and senior professional staff to deliver customer outcomes and meet business objectives.Leads managers, senior managers and senior professional staff to deliver customer outcomes and meet business objectives.Leads collaboration across departments and sometimes the division to develop and implement strategies that are tied to the achievement of divisional and company objectives.Leads transformational programs at the division level to directly impact the achievement of company objectives.Assists executives and/or senior directors in defining organizational goals and strategic plansAccountable for performance and results of multiple related teams globally across shifts that provide technical solutions, cyber security services, deploy security related applications, manage security policy, as well as architect both logical and hardware infrastructure for customer environments.Accountable for the performance and results of a functional area, team or region.Execute business plans and contributes to the development of sub-functional strategy.Utilize knowledge of practices and approaches for managing the function as a viable business entity.Take a whole systems approach to analyze business issues and implements holistic solutions, ensuring that linkages between structure, people, process and technology are made.Facilitate technology strategy and analyzes industry and market trends to determine potential impact to the organization.Validate solutions, supervises and trains leaders to: run a cross-departmental leadership team to assess risk, plan remediation and execute full remediation of customer and Rackspace environments.Evaluate the situation and context - operational information, media reporting, threat reporting and scope of impact regarding critical deficiencies and solutions.Assist in defining strategy and supervises the development of an operational (functional area) plan and governance needed to implement and manage enterprise architecture domain designs and technology standards by product line or platform to support strategy and company objectives.Provide input to business strategy developmentExecute business plans and contributes to the development of sub-functional strategy.
Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. Preferred: Master’s degree in business administration or a technical field.Previous experience of running a Global SOC function (shared customer and dedicated customer environments).Experience around XDR, EDR and VMDR and be highly proficient with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender products as well as CrowdStrike and Qualys. Good knowledge of public cloud environments, especially Azure and AWS. Good stakeholder management skills as well as evidence of previous leadership roles. Demonstrated cross department collaboration experience assisting in strategy development and translation of strategy into operational and tactical application.Experience with successful resolution of service and retention issues with large customers.Ability to establish collaborative relationships across the business.Ability to influence and negotiates with senior leaders across the business.Strong capabilities in analyzing operational processes, escalation procedures and performing training needs assessments for identifying opportunities for service delivery improvements.Outstanding presentation, written and verbal skills.Able to develop training programs and provide coaching and guidance on a one-to-one level.Exceptional people skills; the ability to engage and motivate staff.Strategic thinking with the ability to come up with out of the box solutions, while also having strong operational excellence skills to be able to drive strong execution organizational vision and operational metrics.Ability to handle conflict and drive agreement on decisions for which conflicting opinions and input exist

•The anticipated starting pay range for Colorado is: $143,700 - $210,760.
•The anticipated starting pay range for the states of Hawaii and New York (not including NYC) is: $153,000 - $224,400.
•The anticipated starting pay range for California, New York City and Washington is: $167,400 - $245,520.
Unless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility, the role may include variable compensation in the form of bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments. These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
