JMA Wireless is in search of a Cybersecurity Engineer for our Federal product offerings. This role will support our Federal Programs system security posture, in support of Federal Compliance and Certification efforts.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Support JMA Federal Programs system security posture, in support of Federal Compliance and Certification efforts
  • Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activity for JMA DoD Programs
  • Compile JMA responses to NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) process
  • Map and document security posture of JMA products to RMF process and NIST standards
  • Create Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) in response to scan findings
  • Navigate NIST cyber controls, implementation, and documentation
  • Perform security scans on network components
  • Perform vulnerability assessments on JMA Federal system components, with focus on compliance to NIST-800 controls and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Work closely with Federal PMO, Engineering, Information Technology, and Cyber Governance teams

  • Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience with RMF  
  • 5+ years of experience navigating ATO cycles
  • 2+ years of experience building Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM)
  • Experience performing system scans on network components, reviewing findings, and suggesting mitigations
  • Experience working for a Defense Contractor or DoD, with wireless technology
  • Experience in creating high-quality documentation with attention to detail and adherence to Government requirements
  • US citizenship required due to contractual limitations
  • Knowledge of Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) compliance, and STIGs
  • Experience Writing and Executing Test cases for technical RMF controls is a strong plus
  • Experience as an Assessor or Validator on DoD systems that are subject to RMF is a plus
  • CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or similar certification is a plus
  • DoD 8570 certification is a plus
  • Familiarity with Linux is a plus
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is a plus
