POSITION: Security Manager
RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Security
SALARY: $53,560 - $63,190
ON-SITE REQUIRED: 33% of time

Success:
You will know you are successful when our facilities are secure, our relationships are maintained, security incidents are documented, and advanced intelligence is proactive regarding potential opposition activity and threats.

Qualifications:
You are calm in a crisis and can assume leadership even when the pressure is high.
You keep confidential information secure and make rational judgement calls in situations of risk.
You have an intimate knowledge of research techniques, intelligence databases, practices, and methods relating to security, crime prevention, investigations, public safety, training, and emergency management practices.
You have a working knowledge of security systems and equipment, such as electronic access control systems, security alarms, and security cameras.
You can use Excel and Word at an intermediate level and you can adapt to working with a variety of databases.

Primary Areas of Responsibility/Essential Functions:
Identify and Implement Improvements to Security Systems: You have your finger on the pulse of best-practices in security and you are always on the look-out for ways to improve our systems and processes. You keep your eye on technology and innovations to support our various sites and collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvements for cyber and physical security. You keep the Security policies up to date and support the maintenance of the agency security plan. You make recommendations on security trends, security intelligence, technology, assets, tactics, and other relevant items. You have a sophisticated knowledge and understanding of opposition tactics, players, and proactively inform stakeholders of potential risks. You assist with security assessments and the execution of action items. You supervise the work of a Security Specialist (when applicable.)
 
Support the development and maintenance of external relationships: You liaise and support relationships with federal, state, county, and city law enforcement agencies, other security professionals, PPFA, and PPFA affiliates on issues related to security and defense. You arrange and manage law enforcement meetings, collecting and communicating timely and accurate security information to appropriate stakeholders within PPRM and external law enforcement partners.
 
Support the Security of PPRM Employees: You organize, facilitate, and support security trainings, drills, and site audits. You support coordination of security for agency special events, including protection services for assigned individuals. You document trainings, security incidents, protestor numbers, and opposition monitoring and are report these numbers to internal and external stakeholders as needed. You support Security Reviews and analysis.
 
Abortion Care: We all work in abortion care, whether it is referrals, information, education, counseling, performing, scheduling, etc. In this role, you will be leading a team that secures the safety of those providing abortion care.

COVID-19 Vaccine PPRM is joining our partners in public health across our region and county, as well as many other Planned Parenthood affiliates, by requiring that all employees are fully vaccinated.  An employee is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the second dose of a two-dose vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) or one dose of a single- dose vaccination (Johnson and Johnson/Janssen) and all

COVID-19 Booster: PPRM staff members are required to have the COVID-19 vaccine booster shot by the first day of employment. or five months after receiving the final dose of the original vaccine series, whichever is later.
