Role Summary
The MDR Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for performing organizational analytics in support of the adherence to established processes and procedures that guide the delivery of the Sophos MDR service. You will accomplish this by analyzing and reporting on metrics/data relating to MDR Operations work items and Key Performance Indicators and as a means of identifying opportunities for improving process fidelity and achieving key objectives of the MDR business unit.

What You Will Do
  • Communicate complex information, concepts, and metrics in a confident and well-organized manner through verbal, written, and visual means, and tailored to the audience including multiple levels of leadership
  • Thoroughly audit and review customer cases, analyzing each step of the MDR Threat Investigation process as a means of identifying accuracy and adherence to established procedures
  • Develop and implement policies, standards, and strategic plans in support of MDR business objectives, and aligned to organizational requirements
  • Translate analytics into actionable insights and develop performance improvement plans in partnership with organizational leaders and stakeholders
  • Focus on key strategic objectives of operational excellence and drive process efficiencies resulting in performance improvement outcomes
  • Analyze and evaluate operational metrics/data to identify root cause factors impacting operational reliability and service delivery
  • Identify lapses in compliance and conformance to established operational processes and procedures; coordinate with various internal teams to address gaps
  • Design, create, and monitor results from solutions that are implemented via data visualization tools, e.g., Grafana, PowerBI
  • Develop presentations and present findings with recommendations to key stakeholders and senior management within the MDR business unit

  • What You Will Bring
  • Previous experience in one or more of the following areas is a must: Security Operations, Incident Response, Threat Investigation, and Analysis, or related field(s)
  • Previous experience with Cybersecurity as a service and/or managed services
  • Bachelor’s degree, or commensurate practical experience, in a quantitative discipline such as Operations Analysis, Business Analytics, Information Systems or other related field
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem-solving
  • Demonstrated experience in taking complex analyses and turning them into actionable insights
  • Experience with data visualization tools, e.g., Grafana, PowerBI
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with various levels of management within the MDR business unit
  • Adaptable, and comfortable with unstructured work and occasional shifting of priorities
  • Ability to work effectively, meet deadlines, and shift priorities appropriately in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with great attention to detail
  • Keen interest in Cyber and Information security
