InterWell Health is seeking an Information Security Risk and Compliance
Analyst to join our growing Information Security team to help protect our
enterprise environment with the goal of improving the outcomes of patients
with chronic kidney disease (CKD).

We’re in this to help patients live their best lives (it is healthcare, after all),
so we focus on learning along our journey as caretakers to refine and
improve processes to keep patients secure while engaged with InterWell
Health. More importantly, you get to utilize and expand your expertise in
information security on a team focused with a greater goal to ensure patient
security and privacy.

Your typical day/week would include reviewing HITRUST certification
information security controls, converting controls into tasks and defining
them, assigning HITRUST tasks to teams or individuals, and communicating
with all or most of the InterWell Health internal departments.
We're looking for a self-starter who is passionate about security and wants to
improve InterWell Health by continuously learning new techniques and tools
to reduce risk exposure and improve compliance.

This Analyst role on the team will be a champion of risk and compliance
across the business and instrumental to the success of security at InterWell
Health.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist with implementation and development of the GRC Information Security program at
  • InterWell Health.
  • Keep patients PHI/PII data secure and confidential at any point along their journey with InterWell Health.
  • Monitor HITRUST control implementation progress and provide updates to security leadership.
  • Monitor automated tools that facilitate identification and mitigation of information system risks.
  • Review security controls and policies to make recommendations for improvements and changes impacting the security posture at IWH.
  • Develop, deliver and maintain Security and Privacy Awareness education to IWH employees.
  • Research into cybersecurity and privacy legislation, regulations, advisories, alerts, and vulnerabilities.

  • Additional Responsibilities/Abilities/Knowledge/Skills
  • Learn cybersecurity and information security controls, practices, procedures, and
  • regulations including HITRUST, HIPAA, HITECH, NIST and related security standards and frameworks.
  • Identify and resolve security issues in diverse, virtual, decentralized environments via planning, developing, monitoring, and maintenance of cybersecurity and information technology systems at InterWell Health.
  • Self-starting, dependable and willing to bring professional security ideas and practices to a growing InfoSec group.
  • Assist coordinating and leading meetings to resolve issues in a timely manner by sharing information and further project goals using effective and positive communication skills.
  • Learn new security concepts and technical content to apply appropriately to work assignments and inform InterWell Health employees of their impact
  • Assist with Disaster Recovery, Incident Response and Business Continuity Planning program practices and procedures
  • Work with internal requests and external vendors to deliver improvements to technical controls and respond to compliance inquiries.
  • Patience working with individuals from a non-technical background to achieve a common goal and exceed expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Familiar with Linux, Windows and Mac platforms and their capabilities/limitations
  • Track record of solving problems by writing new automated solutions in GO or Python
