Listing Description

 Requirements:

  • At least three years of relevant disaster recovery experience
  • Test and validate the Application and Systems Disaster Recovery Plans, including working with IT teams to ensure critical recovery strategies are designed, tested, and implemented
  • Partner functional teams to implement and maintain disaster recovery plans and identify program improvements
  • Assist in the remediation items identified in exercises and assessments, collaborating with partner teams to design new processes and policies that close gaps
  • Assist in the creation of reports for different levels of leadership
  • Assist in the distribution strategy to safeguard that continuity and recovery action plans are correctly secured, distributed, and made available under all disaster scenarios
  • Deliver on-call support for any emergency which may necessitate activation of all or part of organizational recovery action strategies
  • Safeguard that recovery plans are kept up-to-date and reflective of business requirements and environmental modification
  • Document the results of all tests and drills, and identifies any suggested augmentations to the continuity and recovery action strategies
  • Ensure DR framework remains modern and applicable to organization’s changing company operations and risk profiles
  • Facilitate problem-solving by leveraging/modeling continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate root causes and permanently reduce variance
  • Analyze lines for constraints and bottlenecks to achieve continuous flow
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as within a team framework to accomplish objectives
  • Maintain compliance with all standards, regulations, and requirements

 

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with a CMDB – Configuration Management Database
  • ServiceNow experience creating and maintaining reports for data export
  • DR/BC planning tool experience - adding users, creating and maintaining reports, Security, updating tables
  • Experience leading an effort to design, implement and test a DR plan
  • Experience with Virtual environments, SaaS provider architecture, and cloud-based disaster recovery methodology, data replication, backups
  • Project Management skills with emphasis in the build and design of a complex global IT Disaster Recovery Program
  • Ability to present projects, policies and/ or results to Executive leadership
  • Ability to act as a liaison between IT and BC to understand the needs of the business and translate to IT
  • Outstanding communicator and writer; experience with drafting project plans across multiple stakeholders, holding teams accountable to their deliverables, and producing final reports
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in the areas of Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Lean principles, statistics, and data analysis
  • Functional use (preferred intermediate to advanced) of all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel as well as smartphone /text usage
  • Solid written, verbal, and organizational skills
