This position is exclusively for the 2024 Regina Refugee Hiring Event. To be eligible to apply, you must meet the following criteria:

- Arrived in Canada as a refugee (government or private sponsorship), applied for asylum after arriving in Canada (refugee claimant/asylum seeker), or were forcibly displaced. This includes individuals from countries such as Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iran, and others.
- Currently reside in Saskatchewan.
- Should be able to attend the event in-person in Regina on November 7th.
- Eligible to work in Canada (you must have a valid work permit, permanent residency, or citizenship).
- 18 years of age or older.

Job Title: Security Analyst

Job Summary

Ngit Services is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents to protect our organization’s information systems and data. You will play a key role in identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

       Security Monitoring: Continuously monitor security alerts, logs, and events using security information and event management (SIEM) tools to detect and respond to potential security incidents.
       Incident Response: Investigate security incidents, analyze root causes, and coordinate response efforts to mitigate threats and reduce impact on business operations.
       Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, analyze results, and work with teams to prioritize remediation efforts.
       Policy and Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
       Risk Assessment: Assist in identifying and assessing security risks across the organization, providing recommendations for risk mitigation and security enhancements.
       Security Awareness Training: Collaborate with the training team to develop and deliver security awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
       Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents, investigations, and compliance efforts. Prepare reports for management and stakeholders as needed.
       Collaboration: Work closely with IT, development, and other departments to ensure security is integrated into all processes and systems.

Qualifications

       Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
       Experience: 2+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably as a Security Analyst or in a similar position.
       Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are a plus.
       Technical Skills: Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software) and familiarity with SIEM solutions.
       Knowledge: Understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and common vulnerabilities.
       Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex security issues.
       Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
