About the Role:
The appointed cybersecurity leader will collaborate closely with our Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to refine and implement strategic initiatives across HP's global cybersecurity framework. This role involves orchestrating a comprehensive security strategy, drawing insights from various stakeholders including security experts, legal, privacy, audit, and D&TO teams. Additionally, the leader will spearhead large-scale security initiatives with worldwide implications across HP's diverse markets.
An essential aspect of the role entails analyzing cyber metrics to develop relevant key risk indicators and performance metrics across critical security domains like identity management, vulnerability assessment, cloud security, incident response, vendor management, and security training. Effective collaboration and leadership skills are crucial, as this individual will need to influence outcomes and foster resilience within HP's cyber program while earning the trust of company executives and representing the CISO in key forums.
Moreover, the leader will assist in budget management, facilitate training programs to keep HP's cyber workforce abreast of industry developments, and contribute to talent development efforts. Candidates should possess significant experience in senior technology roles within Fortune 100 companies, with a track record of delivering impactful cybersecurity solutions. A deep understanding of infrastructure technologies, including networks, end-user computing, infrastructure engineering, technology architectures, and organizational transformations, is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for the integration of complex programs relating to cyber
- Successful delivery of a holistic cyber strategy globally
- Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas, develop strategy, and set functional policy and direction, and ensure execution of all program responsibilities
- Facilitate the rollout of key security program across the company
- Routinely exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and criteria for achieving objectives
- Provide guidance and motivation to project teams to successfully achieve project goals and corporate initiatives
- Develop effective security strategies to manage change across the enterprise
- Routinely exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and criteria for achieving key objectives, KRIs and KPIs
- Participates in the cross-cyber-IT effort including prioritizations and workstreams
- Coordinate closely with non-IT functional leads to deliver solutions
- Demonstrate a commitment to customer service by anticipating needs and exceeding expectations with timely resolution of stakeholder concerns or issues
- Ensure full adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e., security, health, safety, quality)
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to sensitive, NDA’s cyber initiative, as well as IT systems, data, and proprietary information, whether internal to HP or customer specific
Experience/Skill Requirements:
- Minimum 20+ years of experience in large corporate environments
- 5 years of experience in running security engineering and/or security operations functions
- Extensive experience in working with Business Leadership, e.g. Divisional CEO, CIO, Market or Product Owners, to define and align enterprise architecture to strategic plans and commercial objectives
- Extensive experience collaborating with CIO and IT Leadership
- Experience working with in global corporate organizations operating within, IT Control, Risk management and Compliance frameworks
- Lead large, cross-functional teams or projects that affect cyber goals and objectives
- Excellent consulting, influence, and negotiation skills
- Adept at managing complexity and ambiguity, while maintaining stakeholder alignment
- Excellent people management skills, including managing global teams and partnering across functions
- Passion for building diverse teams and strives to create an inclusive culture
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills across all levels of an organization (executives, management, SMEs)
- Ability to influence stakeholders to ensure strategic objectives of the platform services are communicated, understood, and achieved
