About the position:
Reporting through to the Head of Information Security, the successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide range of challenges across information security including international regulatory requirements, developing a security operations and vulnerability management capability and threat hunting. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of commercial experience and strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Identifying relevant security event logs and onboarding into SIEM;
- Creating threat use cases for detecting anomalies and Indicators of Compromise (IOCs);
- Monitor alerts and responding to potential incidents;
- Vulnerability scanning and triage;
- Investigating and tuning false positive alerting and managing SIEM platform health;
- Development, implementation and maintenance of security incident management processes including playbooks;
- Collaborating with the Major Incident Management team in the coordination of incident response for major incidents e.g. P1 and P2 incidents;
- Hunting for threats and anomalies;
- Assist with orchestration and automation improvements and participate in purple team defensive activities.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Information Technology
- CISSP or other security industry qualification desirable
- Demonstrable experience working with public cloud hosted environments and working knowledge of event logging practices (preferably AWS)
- Understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Scripting proficiency (e.g. Python)
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills Knowledge of security and privacy frameworks e.g. ISO27001
