The Senior Analyst – Vulnerability Management is responsible for finding vulnerabilities within company applications and computer systems and ensuring these items are tracked and managed. They will spend time scanning assets as well as tracking and managing all vulnerabilities found, including those from other teams within IT Security. They will work closely with the teams responsible for the remediation of vulnerabilities detected during scans and will carry out risk assessments and prioritizations to enhance United’s cyber security posture.

Responsibilities:
Conduct and manage vulnerability analysis scanning
Assist with developing the vulnerability management team and processes to handle identifying vulnerabilities and tracking their remediation to better protect the United network
Act as a key resource for teams in the remediation of vulnerabilities discovered by Vulnerability Management
Ensure regular scanning and review of assets and applications to identify network, configuration, and application vulnerabilities
Utilize a system for consistent tracking and review of open vulnerabilities and gathering of metrics on the program
Qualifications
Required
At least three years of experience in information technology
Any combination of equivalent education, work experience, and formal training that allows the candidate to meet the requirements of the position
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Effective Program Management skills
Knowledge of basic vulnerability management fundamentals
Expertise in relationship building with partners
Ability to lead by example and influence change
Understanding of complex project timelines
Good understanding of Information Security standards, frameworks, and best practices
Experience working with IT infrastructure and development teams
Preferred
A computer-science or cyber security related BS or BA degree is preferred
CISSP and/or relevant SANS certifications are preferred
At least one year of experience with vulnerability management and remediation
Exposure to at least one of the following development languages: .Net, C#, Java, PHP, Objective-C, SQL, SOAP, REST, custom API, SAML
Other
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Candidate must currently have or meet the requirements to obtain a US Government SECRET security clearanceConduct and manage vulnerability analysis scanning
